As hackathons have demonstrated, when employees are given a platform to showcase their ideas, companies benefit. However, in an organization of more than 1500 employees, there wasn’t an easy way to promote ideas or collaborate with those who share common interests.

My 4-person team and I developed a templated Confluence page that gave employees the space to add and manage their projects. In addition, I spearheaded the rollout and handled training for all teams.
Role
Project Marketplace rolled out to all the company's North American offices to great success, with 200+ projects uploaded to the space in just one business quarter. Thanks to its templated design, even individuals with no project management experience could easily add and manage their initiatives. Project Marketplace streamlined projects so efficiently that over time it was adopted by the company’s operations teams worldwide.
